IC Dance & Fitness

I joined the Zumba Fitness Class in 2012,  it was a  blast and really got me energized.  Through attending the class, I met new friends, amazing Instructors from Japan and Hawaii.  I saw the movement of touching other peoples lives through this amazing program,  which inspired and encourage me to become an Instructor in 2014.  My husband and I moved to Hawaii from Japan, for me it was a big challenge, new culture and everything.  I had some struggles but I survived, after  all I went through, I found out that music and dancing were my best medicines with the support from my loving husband.  Now  I am ready to start to do what I really love. I am doing this not just for myself, but to help and encourage other people, to get fit, have fun, enjoy and dance like nobody is watching

The Zumba Basic 1

Zumba Basic

You will learn the steps to four basic rhythms (merengue, salsa, cumbia and reggaeton)

Zumba Basic II

You will learn 6 more steps (Flamenco, Samba, Belly Dance, Soca, Tango, Quebradita)

ZUMBA STRONG

Build Strength and Endurance

You’ll learn a high intensity cardio and bodyweight training; by combining moves and patterns to perfectly synced music. This will increase intensity; physiology, bio-mechanics, movement fundamentals and with injuriy prevention.

I do Zumba and i’ve always enjoyed it. I’ve always enjoyed dancing and I have absolutely no shame. I don’t care if I look like a bear getting electrocuted, I enjoy it. But I also do step aerobics (another generally all woman class) so i’m probably the odd one. I think most men just feel it’s not “manly” because it is dancing and you are shaking your butt, chest, etc.

Absolutely! I love Zumba. Great workout, get the moves down for some great dancing with my wife (who also Zumbas). I lift weights and participate in sports as well, but I think a great physique is one that also builds finesse and – yes – grace in a man.
